St. George Church — Attraction in Addis Ababa

Yup. Waste of time.

Google says the museum and church close at 6pm. The guide people say “we don’t care about Google, we close at 5.” Church is not open unless a mass is going on.

I skipped the museum as the donut guides were too pushy and wouldn’t answer my question of what time will they ask people to leave the museum. It was 4:40 when I arrived on a Sunday

This is a very interesting church and of great significance to Ethiopia. I was lucky to be guided by Deacon Sisay and it was well worth the 200 birr entrance fee (and the additional mandatory tip).
