Humallahti Cliffs — Attraction in Helsinki sub-region

Windy almost always, but the scenery is one of the most beautiful in town. There's always some quiet spot where you can enjoy it alone or with company. There are no railings, so be careful not to wander too close to the edge with small children, energetic dogs etc. The idyllic seaside cafe Cafe Regatta is close by and you get there along a nice seaside path, so you can enjoy the seascape to the max. Me and my friends visited the place in the evening as the sun was shining down on the horizon. There was still some ice left on the water but most of it was gone and that made the scene seem surreal because of the sunlight bouncing of the water!

We relaxed on the rocks and enjoyed the view with some of us taking a drink.

Humallahden kalliot on yksi minulle rakkaimmista paikoista Helsingissä. Käynkin siellä lähes päivittäin. Huolimatta siitä että matka sinne on reilu 4 km. Se tosin alkaa olemaan erittäin suosittu auringonottajille. Siellä on kuitenkin pieniä luonnon muovaamia loosseja sekä kolosia, jos rauhaa kaipaa. Näköala on huimaava ja kalliot itse ovat jääkauden jäljiltä poikkeuksellisen uurtuneet. Kauniita katsella. Aivan vieressä on Kesäranta. Pääministerin virka-asunto. Frans Caloniuksen suunnittelema Villa Bjalbö. Valmistui 1873. Kallioilla on myös pronssikautinen hautamuistomerkki. Ikää n. 3000 v. Samanlaisia toki on helsingissä tietääkseni ainakin 2 muuta.
