What a fantastic ski resort. The snow is perfect and the runs are not too long so you can go up and down many runs. It's great for beginners or families. It also has good jump parks as well for those who like practicing jumps and tricks. Ruka is set out really well and easy to get around. The nature and scenery surrounding makes it even better! There is a gondola to take you between village and valley and plenty chair lifts too. There are plenty restaurants to eat in the village, I never had a bad meal while there. Hanki Baari is great for lunch, RUOK Burger is amazing for the kids and burger fans, if you're celebrating or just fancy pushing the boat out then Stefan's Steak House is devine! Finland is expensive so do take that into account. There are also some amazing extra once in a life time excursions available here that no other ski resort has, so save your pennies for those!
