Liminganlahden luontokeskus — Attraction in Oulu sub-region

Very informative exhibition of different varieties of birds that fly through the area during the four seasons. We looked through the gallery of pictures of different species of birds and then took a walk out to the bird watching tower. We stopped at the visitors center after walking down to the free viewing platform on the edge of the bay, about an east 600m walk. The visitors center is definitely worth going in just to see the architecture and the views. There is a lot of information on the birds that come to the area. Huippuhienosti työstetty lintuesitys auditoriossa, joten kaunis kiitos asiantunteville ja taitaville tekijöille! Lyhyessä ajassa (n. 25min) katsoja sai paljon uutta tietoa ja ehti nauttimaan upeasta visuaalisuudesta, oli aivan ihana katsoa! Myös aulatilojen vaihtuva valokuvanäyttely oli hienosti toteutettu, valokuvat olivat laadukkaita ja mielenkiintoisesti koottu. Pisteenä iin päälle saimme loistavaa asiakaspalvelua paikanpäällä sekä suomeksi että englanniksi, joten aivan varmasti Limingassa tulee vierailtua uudelleen. Metsähallituksen retkipaikkojen esitehyllyköille oli annettu yllättävän toimiva tila, tuli aivan hyvälle mielelle ajantasaisia esitteitä tutkiessa. Ainoa vierailun pieni miinus löytyi kahvion puolelta, koska valikoimissa ei ollut tarjolla mitään kasvissyöjälle, mutta toisaalta läheinen ABC Liminka tarjosi maistuvaa kasvisruokaa buffetista muutaman kilometrin päässä. WC-tilat oli kivasti uudistettu ja myymälässä oli monipuolinen valikoima. Luontokeskus on selkeästi mennyt hyvään suuntaan eteenpäin, edellinen vierailu on ollut n. 2 vuotta sitten.
