I booked a half day tour for a Saturday in early September back in June. At the time I emailed the company to ask about their terms and conditions for cancelling the tour if needed so I understood this given the large cost for the tour. The owner replied and referred me to the website terms and conditions but did not provide them directly in the email. I looked at the website and understood the terms and conditions to be a 100% refund until 7 days before the tour. When I emailed in mid July to request to cancel the tour as we could unfortunately not attend due to personal reasons, the owner explained then that I would not be refunded the full amount as despite the website saying 100% refund until 7 days before the tour date, there is actually as asterisk next to this and further down it says minus 20 euro per person fees. I mentioned the website is not clear about this and it’s unfair to say the refund is 100% when you are being refunded around only 85% of the original payment. I felt that had she explained this in her original email to me I would have understood it more clearly before booking but instead she only referred me to the website. She explained she cannot refund the full amount due to bank fees so she has kept 80€ from my booking. This seems a very high bank fee. I can understand as a small business they need some guarantee on bookings and that is also why I asked to cancel the booking in good time, over 7 weeks beforehand so other people could book this date. I think the terms and conditions should be clearer and not suggesting such a generous cancellation policy if that is not really what is being offered and I would hope the owner can be more explicit on email about the terms and conditions...
Read moreHighly recommend this private Epernay tour. Our guide, Nina, came to scoop us up at our meeting point with an electric E-Mehari jeep and off we went to Hautvillers, champagne commune, as our first destination. First we were guided to church of Dom Pérignon and learned quite a lot about his influence in this region. Nina is a wine maker her self and hence super knowledgeable in the field. Anything you might ask, she came back with thorough answers. Despite the crummy weather, Nina made the rides along the country side of Epernay much more pleasant and memorable. We stopped for a tasting at a family run champagne house in Hautvillers and mostly drove through Ay regions and stretches of rolling slopes and hilltops, which was exactly what we wanted to see. Thank you for the great...
Read moreWe had an absolutely magical day with Emma, who is a brilliant, knowledgeable, friendly, enthusiastic ambassador of the region she very obviously loves. She was the absolute perfect guide. We learned a lot from her about the champagne process, the history of the villages, and the pride of the people who call the region home. We are thrilled to encourage anyone considering tours with this company to look no further! The locations we visited represented the region perfectly. The van is very comfortable. Her English was remarkably perfect. And her warmth made the day feel like we were riding around with a friend. We’ll never forget this experience. The champagne we ordered on this day just arrived and we will be reliving our visit every time we open a...
