A spectacular outdoor art experience – but come prepared for the heat. Château La Coste offers a truly unique setting to experience contemporary art, with a stunning outdoor sculpture trail complemented by a few indoor exhibitions. We opted for the self-guided tour, which allowed us to explore at our own pace and take in the incredible range of large-scale, immersive works dotted across the vineyard landscape.
The sculptures are thoughtfully placed and often invite you to engage with them, making the experience feel both personal and interactive. However, do be aware that on hot summer days the heat can be intense, especially with limited shade along the route. We found it a bit much at times – so if you’re visiting in peak season, aim for an early start, wear a hat, and bring water.
