CYCLE DIVIN — Attraction in Auxerre

We had the most amazing day with Greg at Cycle Divin yesterday doing the full day tour of Bourgogne, Irancy and Saint-Bris. Greg is friendly and incredibly knowledgeable having lived and worked in the region for many years. He supplies you with e-bikes which were brand new and so easy to use, it was our first time using e-bikes and we loved them! Cycling through beautiful medieval villages, exploring all the different vineyards learning about the terrain and climate. We had a visit at a local winemaker and explored the ancient cellars and tried several incredible wines. We were then given lunch at a local restaurant although I understand with bigger groups you enjoy a picnic together. The afternoon continued cycling through the region along rivers, canals and up through the hills of the region with all the different vineyards. A full delightful day from 9:30-5 ending in wine tastings in Greg’s cellar. We highly recommend using Cycle Divin, it was everything and more than we ever hoped for!! A day we will cherish....

This is a beautiful part of the world, rolling hills with pretty towns and villages - and, of course, a lot of vineyards.

Greg was the perfect guide. The electric bikes made easy work of cycling, as well as enabling us to really experience the full beauty of the countryside. The pace was just right and the views absolutely stunning. We had helmets and were fully briefed on how to get the best from the bikes before we headed off.

Greg also explained the industry, which grapes are grown where and why. And his explanations of the appellation system was clear and easy to understand. He really demystified what had previously been quite a complex concept!

It’s hard to find the words to describe what an incredible experience we had with Gregory and Cycle Divin! Greg is extremely competent and passionate, we learned a lot about the amazing wines of Chablis and the Auxerrois, saw beautiful landscapes, visited fairytale villages, eaten delicious food and always felt extremely safe being guided by him on very nice e-bikes.
