It is a must when visiting the azure coast. At a relaxed pace, it's worth spending the whole day driving around the entire canyon (beaches, steep mountains, cliffs, azure waters and waterfalls cascading from the mountains). Beautiful views will stay with you forever. As for organized attractions, there are pedal boats, kayaks and boat rentals.

😥 On the sad news... the water level is currently so low that the Verdon is becoming a narrower, shallower gorge from year to year.

🚨 BEWARE OF THE THIEF 🚨 - Be careful with what you leave in the parking lot because it literally takes 5 minutes to have a broken windshield in your car. The local police confirm that thefts are a daily occurrence here, almost EVERY day. Luckily we were aware of this and made sure...

Pont du Galetas took my breath away. The water here is unbelievably blue — a striking turquoise that looks unreal, especially under the midday sun. Whether you’re standing on the bridge or out on the water, the view is postcard-perfect from every angle.

We rented a small boat right next to the bridge and cruised into the Gorges du Verdon. It was one of the most peaceful, awe-inspiring experiences of our trip. The cliffs rise dramatically on both sides, and the color of the water becomes even more vivid as you move deeper into the canyon.

There’s limited parking around the bridge, so plan ahead. Bring sun protection — there’s little shade on the water. If you don’t plan to rent a boat, just walking across the bridge and enjoying the views is still...

Spectacular natural beauty! Worth a stop for sure. Pictures taken from the bridge, so if you only have 5 minutes you can still get some pics worth framing. If you have more time, there are pedal boats, kayaks, canoes, and SUPs to rent. 2 person kayak for 1hr cost 20€. 3h was recommended if you want to paddle under the bridge through the gorge to the river bend at a leisurely pace (we didn't have that kind of time). Lots of people swimming, cliff jumping etc. Parasailers overhead. Public bathrooms available for a fee. Snack bar on site. Bring your own chairs, towels, blankets,...

You will come for the lavender fields in Valensole and (if you come here) will return back with memories of pedalo ride and/or swim on the aquamarine lake. This place is a must visit/must do on your Valensole itinerary. Laze around or do the gorge on a boat from 1-4 hrs and swim while you are at it. Lake water is fresh and warm (particularly in July). The nearest village is Moustiers-Sainte-Marie (which in itself is a must see). You will need a car to reach here.
