I hope he shared some of the history of the original Roman settlement of Gigondas, the etymology of "jocund," the Roman "happy place," and the recently discovered cascading Roman wine vats there. The Romans saw the unique microclimat at the foothills of the Dentalles to create their rich red wines.
And, as for hospitality, our group was invited to share a fabulous lunch in their garden with the family. (The matriarch is an amazing chef, BTW) A memory we will always cherish.
Also, I hope Ms Yasmin Shahin (perhaps Iranian?) shared some of the ancient Persian history of the rich red wines of Shiraz along with tales of their great Shirazi poet, Hafez, especially with his ubiquitous wine barer, the seductive Saghi.
"Aye Saghi, bar afruze jaume e ma..." (Ahh, Saghi, fill up our wine chalice again...)

What made the experience so special was the hospitality of the Barruol family and their team. They accidentally booked us for a visit during a holiday when the Barruol family was hosting friends (the winery is at their home). However, they honored their commitment and took us on a tour of their cellars, which date to Roman times, where we saw their personal wine collection.
