The citadelle requires a steep ascent, which is circa 0.5miles total distance. At the top you’ll get great views of the town and valley. However, we found the citadelle itself to be in need of attention. It was clear it had previously been well maintained with exhibits and paintings etc. but when we visited lots of it was in disrepair and/or was sealed off and inaccessible. Entry was 5€ per person.

Be prepared for a very steep hike but the end is so worth it. Amazing history, incredible views!! Please wear the correct shoes...I saw an older lady in heels really struggling. Costs 3€ 😀

Небольшая крепость на вершине горы, подъем довольно крутой, особенно тяжело подниматься по жаре. Красивые виды на долину. Сама цитадель была восстановлена почти полностью, большинство помещений открыто для туристов, есть даже подземные тоннели, камеры заключения, жилые помещения и живописный внутренний дворик с деревьями и колодцем. К сожалению, некоторые помещения в плохом состоянии, довольно мало информации для туристов, с описанием отдельных комнат, также отсутствует вся мебель, многие стены в жилых помещениях изрисованы вандалами.

High above village to guard it. Very steep walk (about 30 min up). Breathtaking views of the Var river and valley and of the village below. Entry 34hr with token (3€ per adult). Best to walk when not hot. There is a different path from town, as well as various walikinh paths from top. Maintenance...
