A fantastic 14km hike through the Gorge!! We parked at Point Sublime (not the cheapest) and paid 18€ for around 6hours. Its possible to go down into the gorge and come back again but we wanted to do a longer hike so we managed to Hitch a ride with a very nice young German couple to the starting point: "Point de Départ du Sentier Blanc-Martel" Its worth the little bit of hassle if you dont have two cars. There is a bus you can take from La Palud-sur-Verdon in the morning around 0800 and it will return about 1600h but should be booked in advance. Its also possible to arrange a taxi but we found there were a lot of people who are willing to give rides. Read moreAs opposed to my last visit to the Canyon pre-Covid, there is now a large payed parking lot at Point Sublime. We took the usual approach to walking the Blanc Martel, by driving to Point Sublime, then taking the Shuttle to La Maline and finally hiking back.
Out fault for not checking the rates at the parking, but discovering that it's a whooping 38€ for 8Hours is way over the top. We truly hope the money is put towards maintaining the Canyon.
Moustiers, also a very very touristy place, only charges 1€ per hour, very hard to understand...

From there a 30 min hike downwards leads to the Verdon river and an additional ~30 min hike from there to the Tunnel du Baou which was altogether an amazing and diverse experience (the drive, the view, the river, the walk through the dark).
