Château fort du Dagsbourg — Attraction in Colmar-Ribeauvillé

We didn't have the chance to try the food but I am writing this review in terms of organization and professionality. My friend and I went there asking for a table and they assured to us that next table free will be ours. 20 minutes later, another french couple came in and asked and they got the table first. We were told after waiting for long that there was no availability and that we can not eat there. That means that every other place closed in the meanwhile that we were waiting for our table. Both waitress were not helping at all, they didnt give us any explanation about why the other couple were taking the table first. I hardly not recomment this place as the staff is not...

Des tensions semblent être nées entre les Seigneurs de Ferrette installés dans la partie sud de la forteresse et les Dabo-Eguisheim qui érigèrent au nord le château du Dagsbourg à la fin du XIIème siècle. Le décès en 1225 de la comtesse Gertrude de Dabo-Eguisheim sans héritier provoqua une guerre de succession entre Frédéric II de Ferrette et le Prince-Evèque de Strasbourg Berthold de Teck. La victoire de ce dernier à la bataille de Blodelsheim en 1228 lui donna les droits sur le château du Dagsbourg. En 1466, la guerre des 6 deniers éclata entre l'Empereur et la République de Mulhouse. Les châteaux des Weckmund et Wahlenbourg furent réduit en cendres alors que le château épiscopal du Dagsbourg fut épargné car l'Evèque de Strasbourg n'était pas partie prenante du conflit.
