Domaine STENTZ BUECHER — Attraction in Colmar-Ribeauvillé

Our love of Domaine Stentz-Buecher began at Le Cercle Des Aromes when Michael poured their 2008 Ortel. My mouth watered as I savored the long finish with complex flavours. Thankfully, this vineyard is close to Colmar, so we were easily able to bicycle to it for a cellar tour and wine tasting. Celine was welcoming as she said, "We will taste the wines, but first you must see the cellar!" Stepping down the spiral staircase and slowly feeling the temperature drop as the smell of winemaking filled the air was quite the sensation. The art inside the cellar was a beautiful well curated touch and added to the feeling we got from the wine. We loved learning that Domaine Stentz-Buecher is family owned with a small production. The tour felt personal as we moved through the different steps of the wine making process. All of the wines we tasted were incredible and we brought home a few that we are going to treasure...
