Timing and location conveniently worked out for me to join the free guided tour of the factory in between my reservations in Grasse, and I am SO glad it did! ❤️ I loved all the fun facts from the tour, and truly appreciate that it’s available in a few different languages including English.
What I loved the most though was the shopping experience afterwards, with the help of the future nose, Jason. I am so lucky I went to his counter! As he introduces me to each of their perfumes, he had the wisdom and talent to articulate the complex scent in descriptive details that just enhanced my olfactory experience so much more. It was such an extraordinary experience. I bought a box of 5 scents (3 to keep, 2 to give away) and I usually don’t buy anything easily so that’s saying something. I love that their bottles are metal too. After they teach you in the tour that perfumes in stores are glass only for the design but not really good for shelf life, I really appreciated being able to buy some in metal bottles. The factory prices are excellent too. Not sure if I ever want to buy perfumes from regular stores or diluted eau de toilettes anymore lol. 100 percent recommend visiting. Thank you Jason...
Read moreI did the mini perfume workshop. I have mixed feeling about it.
The good: the tour guide was knowledgeable and passionate about perfumes, and allowed us to smell many different ones. She was a good teacher, especially for people who may not know a lot about perfume. Also, the perfumes smell very good. I bought an eau de toilette which smells nice although the longevity is not particularly impressive.
The bad: the same tour guide was not willing to be help us at all when we arrived, blatantly refusing to help us store our heavy backpacks. Fortunately one of her colleagues took pity on us and watched our bags for us, but this initial interaction left a bad taste in our mouths. Also, the workshop portion of the tour, while fun, was not as good as it could’ve been due to the fact that you do not get to choose the notes in the perfume you make. In my workshop we made a very feminine floral perfume that was not suitable for my use as a young man. I think it would be good if they offered a feminine and a masculine option for the perfumes made in...
Read moreVisiting Parfumerie Fragonard was a very pleasant and fascinating experience. One of the highlights was the opportunity to see the production process of perfumed soap firsthand and listen to interesting insights about both traditional and modern techniques, shared by the guide. The explanation was engaging and easy to follow, especially during the demonstration of perfume samples, where we could try different scents and learn about their composition. An added bonus was the easy access to the location – there was convenient parking available, and no reservation was needed for the tour. The entire visit was very well-organized. We also had a positive experience in the shop, where we could see and try everything before making a purchase. The selection was extensive, and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Overall, I highly recommend visiting this place to anyone interested in perfumes or looking for a unique and...
