Pont d’Arc is a truly beautiful and peaceful place to visit, perfect for a fun day out with friends or family. The natural stone arch over the river is stunning and makes for great photos. It’s an ideal spot for swimming, relaxing by the water, or just enjoying a picnic in nature.

If you enjoy water sports, this is the place! Kayaking, rafting, and paddleboarding are very popular here. The river is calm in many spots, making it safe and enjoyable even for beginners. Just make sure to book water activities in advance, especially during holidays and weekends – it gets busy!

The whole area is clean, well maintained, and full of natural beauty. You’ll find small beaches around the river where you can sit and relax. There are also walking paths and shaded spots under trees.

Parking is available nearby, but it can be full during long weekends or peak hours. It’s best to come early if you're visiting on a busy day.

Overall, Pont d’Arc is a must-visit if you’re in the Ardèche region. Whether you want adventure or just a peaceful time in nature, it has something...

No doubt Le Pont de Arc it is stunning but it is ruined by the utterly ridiculous numbers of tour companies operating canoe and kayak “experiences”. My tip would be visit early in the morning or late in the evening. During the day, the river is like the M25 at rush hour. We took our paddle boards and were clattered into repeatedly by out of control tourists, hit in the head by paddles and my daughter and wife were knocked off their boards and dragged along the rocks. There are no lifeguards or anyone controlling safety and the whole thing is damn right dangerous. There are, however, photographers dotted along the route to “capture the moment” while seemingly ignoring the carnage happening around them. While we were administering first aid to my daughter we saw numerous collisions, boats capsizing and people of all ages dragged along the rocks screaming in pain or knocked off their feet by other boats. If you are thinking about renting a kayak, please think twice unless you want your holiday...

Hier is mijn recensie:

Faciliteiten: Het gebied rondom Le Pont d'Arc biedt beperkte faciliteiten.

A very beautiful natural beauty spot. If you love nature, then you will love Le Pont d'Arc. There is a lovely natural beach where we parked where you can picnic, sunbath, swim and / or just relax. Bring your mats, towels, food, games so you spend the day. Parking is easy if you are early. We parked at carpark 2. I was surprised by the provision of free public facilities within a short distance. There is also a restaurant next to the car park. The Le Pont d'Arc is so majestic when you view it in person. We went on a hot sunny day in August. The water is clean and refreshing and you will want to swim. It was a good day. I am amazed how many lovely places there are to visit in France.

A sight to be seen. This place makes you appreciate how small you really are in this world. Witness the the result of the violent force of nature that dug through thick stone for countless years. It's just incredible. A perfect place to sit, relax and enjoy nature. It's not so crowded in June and it's easily accessible, even for less abled people and dogs. Parking is free but there aren't that many spots. Our dog had a blast in the sand and the water. You really shouldn't skip this place! Be careful and respectful to the nature and it's inhabitants. There are frogs, beautiful fish and even snakes in the water that enjoy the place just as much as you do.
