Musée Eugène-Carrière — Attraction in Le Raincy

Eugène Carrière is one of my favourite artists, and I’ve always wanted to visit this museum. I finally went for my birthday, and I absolutely adored my time at this small but mighty museum. Run by volunteers, you can tell they have a wealth of knowledge and passion about the artist and era. My partner and I had the pleasure of taking a guided tour by Sylvie, who was a captivating orator. She taught us so much about Carrière and the context of the time that we didn’t see the time go by and wanted her to continue indefinitely! Visiting with a guide is a MUST. The museum also regularly changes their expo to feature different themes, so we are looking forward to coming back to learn even more.
