Rather a disappointment when it was one of my top sites to visit. Totally walled and hedged off unless you pay for a French-only tour. The dolmen has been reconstructed as they 'think' it might have looked (and in doing so covered the back side carved art-because they think this is how it should be presented). Groomed paths and grounds look like an amusement Park-not what I want to see when looking at prehistoric cultural ruins. There are so many good and authentic sites and then there are things like this that are charging and capitalizing on history and culture.

Cairn Er Grah is the least impressive of the Locmariaquer Big Three monuments despite its size. It is a long cairn running N-S with a central tomb covered by a massive capstone. The exposed tomb would have been covered by stones and earth originally.

If you like old stones, this is a must see. Walking into the depths of the cairn was very special. To think that I stood on the same spot as people did 6,000 years ago!
