We had a great time last year, and so booked again this year to coincide with the Oyster Festival, this time with Mother in Law in tow.||Although I booked a double and a twin, I got two twin rooms, but both were comfortable with en suite bathrooms and a good view of the event (if one didn't want to be in the thick of it - although I can't image why not!).||Mother in Law went to bed early and despite the room facing the stage the double glazing kept out most of the noise of the excellent celtic rock band.||We had a very warm welcome and left our bags while we went straight to the buvette for oysters!||That evening we dined in the hotel, and we very pleased - separate review as they are distinct entities I think.||Breakfast was excellent! Last year, for some odd reason, I missed breakfast. But not this time. We sat overlooking the bay as the sun rose, with a great selection of fresh bread and croissants, fromage blanc with a nice tart fruit coulis, loads of fresh, hot coffee (or chocolate or tea).||||Can't fault it!||||I'll upload some photos.||||And, major bonus, no mozzies this year, and mother in law had a great...

We were two couples and a single friend who stayed at the hotel for five nights in September 2014. We had a wonderful time at this hotel. Although the room amenities are basic (no soap supplied, oddly, and no full-length mirror), the location and the staff make up for that. My husband and I had a large room overlooking the busy square outside, and we had a few bad nights with delivery vans pulling up at all hours, so try to get a room on the sea side. Despite that, we enjoyed the restaurant and the staff were always extremely pleasant and helpful. The manager fetched and dropped us off at the station in Auray without charge, and the bar staff did not mind that we kept them up pretty late some nights. Sometimes they even gave us a drink on the house, I guess because we were such good customers! Not for those who expect 5-star amentiies, but if you want a down-to-earth, friendly place with the best location in town, stay here. Food is good but not great, wine is lovely, staff are...

Direct view, so close to the ocean than it is like being on a yacht anchored in the bay. Typical Brittany food, local cider and beers, nice service and large terrace. Park outside the village on Market days, be patient and you should be fine.
