Chateau Des Jacques — Attraction in Mâcon

Our group of 22 Canadian wine lovers had a fantastic tour and tasting visit here in early May. It's a lovely, immaculate property in a beautiful part of Beaujolais. Our guide Genevieve couldn't have been more hospitable or knowledgeable. She conducted a great, engaging tour and the tasting session she organized for us in the Chateau was exceptional. The wines themselves are absolute top quality (we were travelling with several wine experts who raved as well). Wow! Our lovely host and guide Genevieve was absolutely brilliant! Her passion, knowledge and kind sense of humour made us feel so special. We had a beautiful intro and brief history out in the gardens. We then went to the impressive cellar and genuinely had one of the best tastings ever!! As it was our first time in the Beaujolais region she gave us an insightful introduction into this wine region, the history of the chateau, the wine making process, the beautiful cellars and the wine itself.
