I was torn between 3 and 4 stars because we ate at the hotel as well as staying there. The restaurant food was fantastic but the room was not! The food is beautifully presented. We started with a cream cheese amuse bouche. I had the menu at 36€ and my husband the 46€ menu. I started with their starter of the day which was avocado and prawns with a salad, my husband had the smoked salmon. I then had the chicken stuffed with mushrooms and my husband had the filet steak (8€ supplement) with a mushroom sauce. The food was superb. The St Joseph red wine is fabulous! The bedroom… very tired, paint peeling off the ceilings in the room and bathroom, the room was quite dirty. Lots of cobwebs in the corner of the room by the air con unit. There was a lot of dust on the bed frame and around the top of the skirting. I did mention this when we checked out and was told by the receptionist that the person responsible for the cleaning was a young person and that she hadn’t checked the room prior to our stay and apologised. Had we just eaten at the restaurant it would have been a 5 star review but as an ‘ensemble’ the room let it down. We would eat there again but wouldn’t stay...
Read moreThis hotel is well situated for an overnight stop while travelling. We booked a room by telephone and were informed the only room available was one which had not been refurbished, so we had been warned. However, I can only base my review on the room that we stayed in. It was very poor, in need of complete renovation, the lavatory did not function properly. The water pressure in the shower was very low. The beds and bedding needed replacing. The WiFi was patchy. However, the room rate was very reasonable, perhaps reflecting the poor quality of the accommodation.||||We ate dinner here. The menu was fairly interesting, but the food was only average, and in my view not good value compared to similar establishments.||||The best points of the hotel are the swimming pool and good private parking.||||This not a place I would...
