This is the place of death of King Francis II and also a space used by Joan of Arc. The entry is free and there are guided tours of the hotel. However the hotel is closed between noon to 1400 hr. Limited help in English is available - maybe 1 staff at the front desk can speak. The gardens are very pretty and are a public space used by locals. The entry to the gardens is separate, a 3-4 min walk from the Hotel Groslot entrance. Read moreI’m a big fan of rooms, and Hôtel Groslot has a whopping 6 of them! They were so great that we left fully satisfied after having seen 5 of them. I’m sure the remaining one is also very epic though.
There is a very big mirror in the entrance which, depending on your self-confidence, can make or break the experience. Ours was definitely elevated!
In case it doesn’t for you, fret not, because the receptionist is very kind and their helpful cheeriness will surely brighten your mood again.

Decor is splendid as are the gardens. It's something to visit if you have time to kill and it's not at all far away from the cathedral which is a must see.
