Maison du Docteur Gachet — Attraction in Pontoise

An absolute must see while you're in Auvers. Some of the best views there are of the valley, and an important piece of history. The whole place has been refurbished and it is incredible. We had absolutely AMAZING tour from Barbara, who is super smart, super passionate and super nice. I can't praise her enough! I'm really looking forward to going back with my children and anyone else I can convince they need me to take them to see...

First, it is free. Second, they have modern exhibitions there. Third, it is great walk through amazing neighborhoods there. Forth, the good doctor has a unique place in the history of impressionist artists. And finally, it is just beautiful at the right times with some amazing overlook views...

Free admission to this small property with a very well kept front garden and at the rear you can view cave and rock chambers that were evidently used to protect the art treasures that Dr Gachet ownerd. Nice exhibition internally about the Dr and his son who looked after a eventuslly sold...
