Captain Benoit hosted me on the fully private Coral Valley/Turtle Tour #7. Could not be more pleased! The captain has a passion for the Lagoon Flora and Fauna, is very knowledgeable, and more importantly produces solid results. Furthermore, the Captain is all about guest safety and respecting the environment and its creatures. The coral valley (a secret location known only to the Captain) is teaming with a massive and plentiful variety of colorful tropical fish and we also had a very up-close-and-personal encounter with a leopard ray. The turtle portion of the tour was just as delightful, we had close encounters with many turtles and the captain provided detailed instructions on how to engage with them so as not to stress them, and have a truly interactive experience. There were more turtles than I could count. Finally, the captain has a very high quality underwater camera, and knows how to dive deep for close-ups and good colour fill. He provided me with almost 300 photos of the dives (all-inclusive in the base price), and got some great photos of me engaging with his co-workers Mr. Leopard and Mr. Turtle. For tropical snorkeling, it is positively essential to have a photographic record of the experience and once again, Captain Benoit over-delivered. If you are in Papeete for a day, and you need an immersive private guided snorkel experience at exotic locations for your small group, then you could not do better than to engage Captain Benoit. He loves what he does, he is properly equipped to deliver a complete professionally guided underwater tour service, and he will keep both you and the environment safe. Needless to say, Captain Benoit received a handsome tip at the end of the tour because I was extremely energized by the entire experience. What an amazing guy!

We had an incredible day out with Captain Benoit! After a short drive from our hotel to the marina, and Captain Benoit greeted us with energy and excitement. Before you know it, we were swimming with the sea turtles. Captain Benoit is an amazing human, a great guide that really knows the area, and definitely experienced when it comes to knowledge of the area and how to swim in harmony with the sea life. He makes sure to explain what to do and what not to do around the turtles, demonstrates and teaches care around the coral reefs, and takes plenty of amazing photos that he sent us later the same night. We did the #8 package - 3 hours with stops at the turtles, reef, and wrecks. Each one was so different and unique in its own special way. Seemed like every minute there was another turtle that came into view. So amazing. The second stop was the coral reef, where there was no lack of things to see. Giant sea cucumbers, huge pufferfish, schools of friendly fish, and an overall incredible array of colors surrounded us. Last was the wrecks - two boats and a plane. Very different experience from the first two stops but with much more open water to swim freely, dive down as close as we could to the wrecks, and round the day out. We definitely got our moneys worth - we spent way more time in the water than we did traveling to the different spots. The rides were quick thanks to Captain Benoit's jokes and joyful demeanor. Truly a man that is very passionate about what he does and loves life. Highly recommend taking a trip with Captain Benoit if you have the opportunity to!

We had a great 3-hour snorkeling trip with Benoit in January 2024. It was the highlight of our 5-night trip to Papette! We met Benoit at the marina and we took his boat to three spots (tour #8 listed on his website): Sea turtles - This is where the sea turtles sleep and hang out, and we immediately saw a few different groups of sea turtles. The water here is deeper than in the other two spots--it was just clear deep blue water all-around, very serene. Coral reef valley - Benoit called this his "secret spot", and we were the only snorkelers there in a vast forest of coral. He pointed out different species for us, but we were surrounded by so many kinds of life, it was mesmerising. There was so much to see, it just kept going and going! Ship and plane wrecks - This spot is also known as "the aquarium": there's less coral than the coral reef valley, but more kinds of brightly-colored fish here, in a more relaxed, spaced-out environment. Benoit himself was a great guide and provided all our gear. He has a cheery attitude and made the whole thing feel like a fun adventure. Payment was easy, we did it right on the boat with a card reader. 5-stars!

An Unforgettable Tahiti Snorkeling Adventure with Captain Benoit!

My mom and I did a breathtaking snorkeling tour and cruise around the Tahiti Lagoon with Captain Benoit. As novice snorkelers and non-swimmers, we were apprehensive, but Captain Benoit's patience and expertise were remarkable. He immediately put us at ease with his patience and expertise. He provided invaluable tips, particularly helping my mom, who showed significant improvement in just a few hours under his guidance.

The water world of Tahiti was beautiful- the lagoon's water is so gorgeous to stare at, I could be out there for hours. We were also fortunate to encounter a stingray! Under water was also great colorful fish, shipwrecks, plane wrecks, and intriguing underwater formations, including a heart and a submerged desk.

Captain Benoit's infectious energy and passion enhanced the experience, and his local knowledge enriched our journey. He felt like a friend, making the trip even more special.

We highly recommend Captain Benoit's for any snorkeling tour and cruise. It's an unforgettable adventure, and if we return to Tahiti, we'll definitely do it again. Thank you, Captain Benoit, for an incredible experience. Don't hesitate to book with him- it will be an experience to...
