We spent a day in Rouen and decided to walk to the panorama point for the view and the walking path. However, I wouldn’t recommend going there if your time in Rouen is limited. The path and the viewpoint were quite noisy due to the nearby motorway. While Rouen itself is a beautiful city, it is surrounded by factories and modern buildings, and the panorama also includes these less appealing sights. For me, it ended up being a waste of...
Read moreIf you walk there on foot, DO NOT take the South-East route in Google Maps. At first the streets climb steeply up, and after Chemin des Tilleuls there is just a half-overgrown path. It was obvious that it was hardly ever used. It requires proper trekking shoes and some fitness. At this time I simply did not want to return so I finally reached the place. Bottomline, walk from the West, as shown in the tourist office map. There are good stairs of wood blocks. The view from the top is nice, so it is worth the climb. There are stands indicating the buildings below, and benches.
