Very friendly staff at the tourist office. We paid 5 euro pp to see both little museums and the walls around the citadel. The museum about the painter was small but beautiful. I didn't know his work and I was very impressed. The museum about the fortification was all in french so we walked around and looked at the miniatures of the different fortifications but didn't really have any other information.
BUT the 5 euro is worth it's while when you tour the walls and fortification around the citadel. You have a alot of information on the little map they give you, you have beautiful views and you get a great idea of how it was back then ! We were so impressed. There were some long pitch-dark hallways without any light so that was dangerous but for the rest great tour.

Long story short, if you are ever in this region, go visit Citadelle de Montmédy, it is a fantastic and...
