Aachener Tierpark Euregiozoo — Attraction in Aachen

Great place to take little kids, the zoo has a lot of local animals but also a nice but limited variety of exotic animals. We went on a public holiday but we felt that it wasn't too crowded for the animals or our little one to be overwhelmed. It's a well kept zoo where you can feed some animals with fodder you buy at the entrance. You can get refreshments either at the entrance or at the small cafe. We enjoyed the day and spent probably a good two hours, maybe more if we had used one of the many play yards, which all come with seating and sometimes tables too. We particularly enjoyed the animals that you can go touch and feel. The signage in the park could have been a bit better to find our bearings but you'll never get lost. That's for sure. Aachener Tierpark is an absolutely wonderful place to visit, especially if you have children, but its not even less interesting for adults! Just overall the structure and the design of the park is awesome, when you think Aachen is a relatively small city, but here we have many species living there and not just one of each. So i highly recommend visiting this place, you can spend 1-4 hours there to explore everything. It's a nice small zoo with many local and a few exotic animals. The penguins are certainly the main attraction, but there are other incredible, cute animals. I like spending time there waking around our just sitting and watching the monkeys. It's a very good place for small children as there are playgrounds all over.
