Aachen Arkaden — Local services in Aachen

A really poor place. As soon as we enter the main building, it starts feeling like we have entered into a post apocalypse mall. There are only a few and selected shops and too small crowd. A McFit, a netto, a dm and hardly a few more to name. And I could also see a few shops which most probably closed due to loss. The only reason I would visit it again is if I want to go to the netto or to the gym. Though the mall is situated in a very prime location, there are no shops within. I personally feel the administration should put in more efforts to bring...

Oh damn, I was just asked to rate my experience at the NETTO directly as I exited the mall 😖 ... 🤬 ... I arrived at the Aachen arcades 30 minutes before closing. The bottle machine was out of order and they refused to pick up the bottles at the checkout (as is normal when the machine is a problem). It was operated by an older woman who appeared to be on the first day of training, while the other employees were only there to kick the customers out ~ Horrible Experience...

I still dont know why this Mall is left empty. Its the oldest one of its kind in Aachen, and comparable to aquis plaza. The way its treated with the empty shops are just sad. Only the German government offices and a sparkasse is functional. I hope sometime in the future this great building is used as a larger shopping...
