Amazing work of art of Master Hundertwasser (and the only reason why this place got 3 stars), beautiful and special like his entire work. Unfortunately, the management is not what this place deserves and most of the employees are bored, unfriendly and when you ask them something, react like they do you a favour. No parking place in front or in the vicinity (the public ones are just for 30 min, then you will receive a fine. And in front of the place is always a police officer writing them). All over the city, parking is allowed for 30 min or 1 hours, when the beer tour is 1h30 min. The first parking slot for more than 1 h is 15 min walking distance (in case you are not an athelete or you have any disability). The food is way below expectations (medium quality in best case) and the bier is nothing special (below Lowenbräu or Augustiner, for example). The prices are high for the all over experience. The only amazing thing there is the construction itself, so better to see it...
Read moreThe tour is a waste of money. They show you three vidoes about how the beer is made and shipped. The rest of the tour is you sitting there listing to ads about their beer. The rest of the tour is dwarves singing cheasy songs. After that you get to watch a video of an old guy trying to explain the last supper like a highschooler who did a project the nightbefore. This part takes a good half hour. You may be thinking what does this have to do with beer. It has nothing to do with it. They show it becuase the owner sells a book about it. Your paying them to watch 40 min worth of ads. You get 5 min worth of tour from the tour guide who are good at their jobs but cut...
Read moreI am not a beer enthusiast but this place was very interesting and the architecture was AMAZING. There is meaning in every detail of the structure.
We parked in the lot next to the souvenir shop which is where you buy tickets to enter. We were a family of four and that cost 36 euro for the tour and a beer/soft drink and pretzels at the end. The tour is in German but they offer an English script which is very helpful and informative. I don’t drink beer but wanted the full experience so I tried the Suße Liebe and it was surprisingly good. It was sweet with a hint of citrus and did not taste like beer at all. I definitely recommend...
