Located a little towards the South East of Berlin, this is one of the gardens in the city. From a size point of view, although this garden is pretty big, it can however be covered in a single day. I went there on a hot and sunny Sunday afternoon with my wife. Approach was fairly convenient with bvg bus service. Large number of people got off the bus to walk towards the garden. There is about 500 meters of walk from the bus stop to the garden. There is an entrance ticket which turned out to be 3 Euros for each adult, which I would say is totally worth it. It was also the time when the tulip festival was ongoing and for the first time ever I saw a tulip garden. Of course it wouldn't be as big as the ones in keukenhof, but still really beautiful. The greenery in the park was amazing with large grass beds and various flowers and trees. Families and friends get together in groups under the shade and some bask in the sun. Lots of kids can be seen running and playing around. There is also a you train that rides across the park with about 6 or 7 coaches and looks very nice. There are a few benches, chairs and tables set in the park for people to sit around. I guess pets are not allowed in the park and so are things like skate boards. There is a lake in the park that adds to the beauty. Recreational facilities like table tennis, kids play area etc are available. There are other facilities like toilets and also wheel chairs, if booked in advance. There is also a cafe that sells ice creams, coffee, chips, wurst etc, which surprisingly for the location did not burn a hole in the pocket. All in all, going alone would be kind of boring, but we any company, small or large, it's worth a visit and you can definitely spend...
Read moreI am very concerned about animals. We went there this summer with my 10-year-old son. No animals were in the meadows where the plan took us. My son found the sheep, billy goat, in a place near the water play area, a place where there are toilets and an exit. He went alone to see the 3 poor animals and took photos. It looked like a walk-in pen, except that it was 30 degrees, and the 3 visible animals had no shade. They were lying along the "shadow" cast by two tall poles. The 3rd was in full sun. I discovered my son's photos after we'd already left the park. He made a montage of them with his camera app: the photo of the animal looking extremely hot and thirsty + the text saying "Something must be done to stop this. 😡📣🆘️ For the animals". I've written to the park via Facebook, but their response is that "the caretakers know what they're doing and look after them well". Personally, I'm not sure there.
Please be vigilant about their condition...
Read moreThe Britzer Garten is a magical place where you can escape from the hustle and bustle of the city and immerse yourself in the beauty of nature. It is a park full of wonders, where you can discover new things every time you visit. You can walk among the fragrant flowers and plants, admire the stunning lake and waterfalls, and marvel at the artistic sculptures and buildings. You can also enjoy the music, culture, and entertainment that the park offers, such as concerts, festivals, workshops, and cinema.
The park is a paradise for children and adults alike, where you can have fun, learn, and relax. The park is very clean and well-organized, and the staff is very kind and helpful. The entrance fee is very affordable and worth every penny. I love visiting the Britzer Garten whenever I can, and I always leave with a smile on my face.
It is one of the best parks in Berlin, and I highly recommend it to anyone who loves...
