Schönower Park — Attraction in Berlin

We did a round walk from southern end Heinrich-Laehr-Park, up through Schönower Park and crossed the road to the Schweizerhof Park and back via Leo-Baeck-Str to the Heinrich-Laehr-Park. There are a number playgrounds for different age groups and the HLP is popular with dog walkers. There are plenty of wheelchair accessible paths and benches and apart from the pond in the Schönower Park and the hill opposite the Kennedy School the walk is flat. Unweit des pulsierenden Lebens rund um den S-Bhf. Zehlendorf findet sich eine Grüne Oase, der Schönower Park südlich der Mühlenstraße. Der Schönower Park bietet in Nachbarschaft der Kennedy-Schule Rast und Erholung am Wasser, denn es befindet sich ein vom Teltower Damm aus sichtbarer Teich in der Grünanlage. Am Rande des Teiches finden sich ausreichend viele Sitzbänke und Sitzmöglichkeiten und ein Müllbehälter. Das Leben aus dem Wasser ist der Beobachtung wert, denn es sind öfters Wasservögel dort aber auch anderes Gefieder, das sich zum Trinken und Erfrischen einfindet. Wenn man etwas Glück oder hinreichend viel Geduld hat, kann man sogar einen Reiher beobachten.
