Lovely clean park with a nice variety of things to do.
Ideal age range is 6 to 12 years old I would say. Kids older and younger will no doubt find things that please them but may run out of things to do sooner.
You could rush through the park in 3 or 4 hours if you did each ride only once or twice, but conversely you can easily find enough entertainment for an entire day. We arrived at 10am and left at 6pm, missed both the shows and still had several play areas left largely untouched. The kids would still have gladly stayed another couple of hours given the chance.
Top tips : Picnics are allowed. Food prices are pretty fair, but it's a very limited selection, basically sausages, chicken nuggets and chips. The falconry show is apparently excellent but it's hidden right at the far end of the park so check the times before you start. You can buy food to hand feed the animals which the kids love of course. The food is sold in fairly generous packets for just one euro each (there's also quite a bit that falls on the ground so resourceful kids can just gather it up and recycle ! )
The animal park part is lovely and actually surprisingly extensive allowing for a pleasant and tranquil stroll away from the noisier theme park end. The mammals have lovely, spacious and thoughtfully designed enclosures. The birds are rather less lucky and I felt rather sorry for some of the larger birds.
One minor gripe, the headline attraction is the log flume which is good ride but the organisation is poor. We waited over half an hour for a single (brief !) turn because they only sent boats every 3-4 minutes and many six person boats were dispatched with only one (!) or two people in. Our boat was sent out with four people from two different households, so not sure why the treatment is inconsistent, and it sure looks like they could safely dispatch boats at least twice...
Read moreWas a very quiet friday (Luxembourgish national holiday). Probably less than 100 people in the park. Its a very clean, nice small animal park. The staff is very friendly and cool. Its nice for families with kids, there are many play areas and rides for younger guests. There is a beautiful walkway though the large spacious animal exhibits. Their selection of animals was surprisingly big (especially for the birds). Felt a bit bad for the parrots though, their cages were rather dark and cramped. Since it was quieter, the animals were enjoying the peace. The brown bear exhibit was mostly visited since the bears were always happy to get fed by the guests.
Next to the animals they also have a bunch of amusement park rides, like a very fun coaster (one of the best Gerstlauer bobsleds, had 5 rides), a flume ride with an initial dark ride part (gets you really wet), some slides, a laser shooting dark ride and some small flat rides. The rides were all a walk on. As I was there solo I had to wait for other guests to join to ride the coaster, they dont run the coaster with 1 person only in it. Their main self service restaurant is pretty ok, had less than 15€ for a Currywurst & Pommes with a 0.5cl beer.
Its a nice half day (~4h in the Park) excursion, if you dont have kids. Though I recommend going on weekdays, heard that on weekends it get significantly more crowded. If you plan your day trip and want to see everything you should also check out their circus and...

I recently visited Wild- & Freizeitpark Klotten with my family, and it was an absolutely delightful experience. This park offers a perfect blend of nature, wildlife, and thrilling attractions that cater to all ages. The animal exhibits are well-maintained, and it's clear that the animals are well cared for. We particularly enjoyed the up-close encounters with various species, and it was a joy to see how much effort the park puts into educating visitors about wildlife conservation. The amusement rides were an unexpected highlight, providing excitement for both kids and adults. The roller coasters and water rides were a big hit with our group, and we appreciated that the lines were short, allowing us to enjoy the attractions multiple times. The park itself is beautifully situated with scenic views of the surrounding area, making it a pleasure to walk around. The facilities were clean, and the staff was friendly and helpful, adding to the overall positive experience. Overall, Wild- & Freizeitpark Klotten is a fantastic destination for a family day out. Whether you're there for the animals, the rides, or just to enjoy the beautiful surroundings, this park has something for everyone. We’ll definitely be returning on our next trip...
