During my recent visit to Germany, I had the wonderful opportunity to explore the Cologne Central Mosque, and I must say, it was an experience that exceeded my expectations in every way. This architectural gem is not only a place of worship but also a community hub that beautifully reflects the cultural diversity of the city.
From the moment I approached the mosque, I was struck by its stunning design. The exterior is a marvelous blend of modernity and tradition, featuring intricate details that create a welcoming atmosphere. One of the standout features of the mosque is its impressive four-story layout. Each floor offers a variety of amenities that cater to both visitors and the local community. The restaurants on-site serve an array of delicious meals, making it a perfect spot for those looking to enjoy authentic cuisine in a serene setting. I particularly appreciated the selection of halal options, which showcased the richness of Islamic culinary traditions.
Additionally, the shops within the mosque complex offer a diverse range of products, from traditional Islamic attire to intricate arts and crafts. It was delightful to browse through the items and learn more about various cultural aspects represented in the store offerings. The staff were exceptionally friendly and eager to share their knowledge, which added to the overall positive experience.
Moreover, the facilities available at the mosque are impressive. With ample prayer spaces and community areas, the atmosphere fosters togetherness and inclusivity. I witnessed many families and individuals engaging in various activities, from prayer to cultural events, which really highlighted the mosque's role as a vibrant community hub.

Read moreMyself and my husband whom Is a da i, came all the way from the UK to visit this masjid. The first day was a pleasant experience. However the second day was awful.
White reverts and non Muslims are treated with the upmost respect. I am in an interracial marriage with a Trinidadian brother. My husband was filming outside and was informed by a jealous evil eyed security stating my husband could not film, and to go to the info centre to speak to the sister, then the sister said to speak to the security guard whom told us to speak to sister. Who were clearly contradicting one another.
My husband took off all the recording equipment upon request of the sister, and we informed the security guard were advised we could film just with the phone for our personal use.
The security guard made a fuss again, it become embarrassing. With a crowd surrounding us. We then had a brother that witness this following us into the ditb centre.
It became worst when crossing the road away from the masjid, some brothers from the masjid were interrogating my husband to ask me questions which is highly inappropriate. The brothers have no hikmah and approach sisters with their husbands
The sightseeing of Germany with with non Muslims was more respectful and pleasant. Never attending this masjid again
There should be a sign in All languages stating no filming allowed to save embarrassment, and this should be initiated with the media and local newspapers also.
Cannot use the photo option to review as the masjid does not like anyone...

Inside, the prayer hall spans two levels, with the women’s gallery overlooking the main floor. Elegant, understated decor features calligraphy and Islamic geometric patterns, complemented by a vast prayer rug stretching the entire space. The serene ambiance is enhanced by excellent acoustics and a warm sense of community.
