Went here to the PVRIS concert. While the band was amazing, the venue and their staff were terrible. My friend and I didn't get our 1€/glass deposit back when we returned our water glasses (was it because we were foreign and you assumed we can't read?). The bar staff was extremely rude (it was a guy, didn't catch his name unfortunately). We asked for a paper towel and he pretended he didn't know what that was, even though my friend told him a bunch of synonyms and a detailed description (describing a napkin to someone is just pathetic). I guess he felt threatened by the fact that we can fluently speak multiple languages, but I digress. The venue: terrible ventilation. They had ceiling fans, but only the ones above the stage were turned on. The fans above the crowd were off despite multiple people asking staff to turn them on. The singer was concerned about our safety and made multiple comments about the heat, but the staff ignored everyone successfully. Ice cubes were distributed at some point, but only a few people from the front rows managed to get some. When I tried to get more ice to give to the people behind, the employee snatched the bucket away from me. Honestly, the heat and ventilation problem could've been solved if they just opened the side door and turned on the fans. Terrible terrible place, terrible...
Read moreWorst venue I have ever been to. First off, the price for a cup of water is €5 with 1€ deposit paid. I had two and when I brought back the cups, the guy at the bar didn’t give me back my €2 deposit and was also rude when I asked for a napkin. Clearly he doesn’t know what a paper towel/napkin/tissue is, he could take some English and customer service courses. Second off, the concert was great, but the sound mixing was horrible for the opening band, the drums were too loud and the vocalist (Julia Wolf) could barely be heard. Third off, it was extremely hot in the venue, the fans on top of the stage were turned on, but the one on top of the public was off the whole concert. A security guy/bouncer gave us a few ice cubes to cool off, but when I reached for the bucket he retracted it fast. Obviously they didn’t care if something happened to anyone. During the main band’s gig (Pvris) the vocalist also expressed a few times that she’s worried for us cos we seemed really overheated. All in all, I don’t recommend this venue at all for...
Read moreI went to Die Kantine, quite a few times and I don't think I'll go back there again. Of course the concert was amazing but the event was badly organized. They had trouble with the ticket check in and most of the staff at the bar are rude. The parking was also hard, we had to park someone where else and not at their parking space. Despite the overpriced drinks that we got there, the Garderobe is also pricey for 2€ per clothing piece and we had to pay again if we lend it!! A few staff members are decent, most are just rude, the toilet lady was the nicest out of them and did a great job- the toilets were very clean. The air circulation was quite bad to the point a few people fainted and the holders didn't open the doors - there are no windows. Wouldn't go...
