Florianturm — Attraction in Dortmund

The Florianturn is situated in a large park with costs €4 to enter per person. If you want to go up to the top of the TV tower it costs €3 per person but we'll worth it for the views all around Dortmund. Once you are in the park there are lovely long walks, great place to take the kids for a day out as there are a few play area,s dotted around, or even for picnic, the beautifully kept gardens are lovely to see. There is also a small train that will take you all around the garden, also the have a cable car if you would prefer take you across it, not sure what they charge for them as we didn't use them. Really amazing place with great surrounding park area for enjoying a nice stroll. The entry price is about 3 to 5 euros, so not much at all to enjoy spectacular aerial views of the city of Dortmund. You can also see the BVB stadium from this place, so feel free to venture at any time of the day and take as many pics, vids, panoramas, instagrams and showcase your work to your mates or to the public. The place is simple to reach via U-Bahn (subway or underground) metro and the station has signs to direct you to the Florianturm. Waren heute bei leider bescheidenem Wetter dort, aber es war unser fünfter Versuch - entweder war Montags, da ist geschlossen, oder es waren Wartungsarbeiten, oder auf einmal war auch Dienstags geschlossen, irgendwas war immer, weswegen wir weggeschickt wurden. Um die freie Turmauffahrt mit der Ruhrtopcard nicht verfallen zu lassen, waren wir heute bei bewölktem Himmel dort, es war auch recht windig. Die Aussicht war trotzdem klasse. Man kann nicht nur Dortmund (Stadion, Phönixsee etc.) überblicken, sondern ziemlich weit schauen. Das Fernglas war leider defekt. Am Ende hat sich die Sonne noch kurz durchgedrückt, aber kurz vor Sonnenuntergang mussten wir dann leider auch schon wieder gehen. Waren schon auf vielen solchen Türmen in anderen Ländern, dort schließt keiner um 18 Uhr. Die Mitarbeitenden waren allerdings sehr freundlich. Vor der Turmauffahrt wollten wir übrigens noch eine Kleinigkeit trinken, aber das Cafe unten am Turm war geschlossen. Als wir um 18 Uhr durch den gesamten Park gelaufen sind, um noch irgendwo etwas Warmes zu trinken zu bekommen, hatten leider alle anderen Cafes/Restaurants auch schon geschlossen. Schade! Lieber Proviant mitnehmen. Der angrenzende Park ist sehr schön. Es gab eine Seilbahn, die aber leider auch nur an ausgewählten Tagen und Zeiten fährt, die Kleinbahn fuhr gar nicht.
