Read moreNice view on a clear sunny day. One can reach by cycling, taking the cable car, climbing up on the Himmelsleiter stone steps, by car or by bus 39 from Bismarckplatz. Lot of interesting marked trails nearby and a falconry with shows. We did a combination by parking for free at Königstuhl, walked the 2km Walderlebnispfad for children,climbed down on the Himmelsleiter to the castle and further down to the city, walked the main street and had lunch, took the bus back to the parking at top. Read moreA very nice experience with 127 years old funicular that you take from Molkenkur to get to Königstuhl. The face lift of the altitude is really amazing. There is a spectacular panoramic view of Heidelberg and distant Mannheim. There are two small shops serving the wine, local biers and warm wursts. There is a small picnic place where you can sit and enjoy the spectacular views while sipping the wine and eating your food.
