I recently had the pleasure of visiting the Audi Ingolstadt facility on a midweek Wednesday, and the experience was nothing short of extraordinary. The museum, housing a remarkable collection of vintage automobiles, provided a captivating journey through the rich history of the Audi brand. Upon my visit, the museum exhibited a serene ambiance, as it was surprisingly devoid of a large crowd, enhancing the overall experience. The opportunity to explore the extensive collection of very old cars in such a tranquil setting added a unique charm to my visit.

The highlight of my visit was undoubtedly the factory tour, which left me awe-inspired by the cutting-edge technology employed in the automotive industry. The precision and efficiency witnessed during the tour underscored Audi's commitment to excellence. The knowledgeable guides provided insightful commentary, enriching the tour with valuable information about the manufacturing processes and technological innovations.

Where to start!?! Honestly, I was dreading going here. I have zero interest in cars. But my husband and son really wanted to go, so there I was. I expected to be bored out of my mind. I couldn't have been more wrong. The museum is great, well done, friendly staff, takeaway postcards, easy to navigate. But the factory tour... Wow. Just wow. It was mind-blowing. Our tour guide Bettina was just fantastic. She knew her stuff, could answer any question and was clearly au fait with the production line and everything that entails. You really get to see everything, you are down there on the production line and see Audis being born. As a midwife, I see babies born all the time and it's life-affirming, but there's something almost as special seeing something being born out of human ingenuity and effort. It was humbling in a way. The scope and spirit of the brand is massive and watching it all up close was amazing. It's like being in an episode of "How It's Made". It was a truly marvelous experience and I'm so glad I went. You do have to leave your phone in a locker for obvious reasons, so be prepared. If you're with someone who's sensitive to noise, there's ear protection available at the first stop on the tour. Also, 22 euro for all three of us seemed exceptional value! The museum equally so.

My son and I were touring car factories across Germany, and our stop at Audi Forum Ingolstadt became the highlight of the entire trip thanks to Fabian May. The main factory tour was sold out, and my son was visibly disappointed. Fabian noticed his enthusiasm, kindly stepped in, and—on his own lunch break—gave us a private tour.

Fabian’s passion, knowledge, and warmth turned what could have been a let-down into an unforgettable experience. He explained the process in a way that had my son completely captivated, answered every question with patience, and made us feel genuinely welcome. It wasn’t just a tour; it was a moment of real kindness that elevated our visit and created a memory my son hasn’t stopped talking about.
