Yesterday first time after Spreewelten bad was closed for reconstruction we visited this place. In short: I am amazed, recommend to go there, especially if you have kids, and this is now one of top 3 Brandenburgs thermal water parks where to go with family in my personal list. Why: Easy to get there with the car or RE, most of places like this are located far from public transport. Superior location in terms of tourist experience: they are located in Lübbenau, the main Spreewald touristic point, so you can spend the whole day exploring Spreewald villages on the boat and end your trip in a warm water. Luckily, Spreewelten closes at 22-23, so it is easy to find time after whole day on the boat. Amazing attractions Inside: there are two big water slides, children activity zone, normal non water children playground, zone with big waves, whirlpool, fountains, etc. Interior design is made in one style to get an impression that you are on an island with penguins-travellers, which my daughter liked a lot. We also enjoyed relaxation room with salted water and birds singing. And, the main part, HUGE zone where penguins live. The only thing that separates you from them is glass, so you can get a feeling that you swim with penguins. Don’t forget your pool glasses! I am not a big fan of zoos in general because I often have a feeling that animals leave in a smaller area than they should. Here is something different. People who developed this place did it with all their love to animals. #Penguins have really big and interesting territory and you can see that they feel very comfortable there. If I was a penguin I would like to live there:) And, of course, everything is new, clean and with very friendly people inside. Prices: 14€/18€ adult and 10€/14€ child for 2h/4h Have small things that I did not like, but that’s only details. We really had cool time and looking forward to go...
Read moreI haven't stayed but had a bad experience before even arriving to the property. I booked my stay for next year. A few weeks after the booking was made I received an email saying that my reservation will.be cancelled and I had to confirm my data. The sender was Spreewelten. Only my clear mind saved me from losing high amount of money. I tried to call the property to check if the email was legit but nobody answers the phone number provided on their website. I finally sent them a message and only got a quick general response thay it was not them asking for the details but didn't take the responsibility for my data to be stolen from them as well as data other customers that were included in the email I received. After that, I requested to cancel my reservation twice(!!) and still, over a week later, I haven't received any confirmation about my booking being cancelled and my data deleted. Be careful when sharing your information with this property. The lack of communication says it all about this place.
Edit: I have not received any communication from you. My reservation was only cancelled after chasing you via Instagram! Also, it was not "technical issue" but you have actually confirmed via e-mail to me that "guests' booking data fell into the...
Read moreMy boyfriend set up a day trip here from Leipzig (FYI, does not connect too well with trains, better from Berlin). We arrived around 13:30 and it was quite busy, but not as busy as we expected for the beginning of the Easter Holiday. Sure, there were lots of kids, but it was a nice mix of people. The staff managed to guide us in English. The changing rooms and bathrooms are very clean. The water was very warm, even when we checked out the penguins a few times outside. The glass between us and penguins was very cloudy, so it made it difficult to see. However, there are sections with decent views. We also had a pass to the sauna area. It felt a little crowded, but lots of choice of places to chill out. All in all, we came expecting the worse, but thoroughly enjoyed our 8 hour day in the bad! By 19:00, all the loud kids are gone! Most adults were leaving too. The food is decent and decently priced. The pools themselves were a little worn, but they renovations...
