I did enjoy the tour we joined and the history behind the castle. 🏰 taking pictures inside isn’t allowed as it’s a private collection but it makes sense as why people would visit if you can see what’s inside online. Whole tour took around 30 minutes. After that you can go to basement see the collection of silver and armoury I do recommend that. Unfortunately I haven’t taken any pictures because of health reasons we had to leave. Friendly staff with good knowledge. We left a car at car park and walk took us around 20 minutes...

This is the most beautiful viewing point onto Eltz castle. Don‘t miss to walk by when you come from the public parking and bus stop area. It is a stunning view onto the castle and worth a stop. Surely more worth than entering the castle...

🇬🇧 Reaching this hidden photography spot at Eltz Castel requires a few minutes of walking: 1️⃣ You start by heading down the stairs in front of the castle’s gate 2️⃣ Cross the bridge leading over the river and then turn left and follow the path. 3️⃣ As soon as you reach the first crossroad, you take the path to your right following the red sign to “Müdenerberg“. 4️⃣ At the next crossroad, choose the steep path to your right that eventually leads you to a small clearing where you will see the castle. 5️⃣ After a few more steps to your right, you will find the secret photo spot and a few big rocks that are comfortable enough to sit down and to enjoy the view. 👉 Follow @our.traveltreats for more photo locations and travel inspo ☺️ And don’t forget to hit the save button for your visit to the castle ☺️💾 * 🇩🇪 Um diesen versteckten Fotospot bei der Burg Eltz zu erreichen, müsst ihr ein wenig laufen: 1️⃣ Als erstes lauft ihr die Treppen vor dem Burgtour hinunter. 2️⃣ Ihr überquert die Brücke, die über den Fluss führt, biegt nach links ab und folgt dem Weg. 3️⃣ Sobald ihr die erste Kreuzung erreicht, nehmt ihr den Weg nach rechts und folgt der roten Beschilderung Richtung „Müdenerberg". 4️⃣ An der nächsten Kreuzung wählt ihr wieder den rechten Weg, der euch schließlich zu einer kleinen Lichtung führt, von der ihr das Schloss sehen könnt. 5️⃣ Haltet euch rechts und nach ein paar letzten Schritten um die Lichtung herum, seid ihr angekommen.
