I visited Meissen as part of a Viking tour. Having little interest in porcelain, I was fully prepared to loathe the experience. I was also frightened because I'm rather clumsy, and porcelain is expensive. To my utter astonishment, though, the porcelain making process was fascinating (and I managed to emerge without a hefty bill).

The exprerience of seeing live making of both dishes and figurines, it was so intresting and truly amazing to see people do it live! There is a wide variety of languages for guiding as well! You never know how much work goes into making one piece untill you see it with your own eyes!
The museum collection is truly stunning, from the earliest pieces to modern creations. You can inspect pieces really up close, you never intruding, even when the objects are very expensive. What suprises us positively is the amount of fun things to do for children! Interactive games on screen, coloring station and even a real life figurine they can touch!
When we finished our trip with the shop, we were truly amazed by the selection and the professional and kind staff!
I cannot recommend this place enough, weather you’re a fan of...
