Fürstenried Palace — Attraction in Munich

We booked this place for a conference we were organizing and it was a round success. The place is simply beautiful and all our guests were really impressed by the place. The gardens, the rooms, the halls, everything makes you feel special.

As part of the conference we offered food and this was off the charts good, so delicious and plentiful. If that is something you care about, do know you will be covered here.

The conference rooms are very spacious and elegant, our guests were really happy. The only problem is that the summer in Munich was very hot and the room can get a bit too hot, but nothing you can't fix by opening the windows.

The location could be a bit of an issue for some. It's far away from the city center (though well connected with public transportation), and since we had international guests, going there from the airport can take almost 2 hours. On the positive, the place is very quiet and it gives it a cool atmosphere. Plus, there's a nice restaurant with traditional Bavarian food in front of the place, so the guests can go and enjoy a rather lovely beer garden and excellent food as well.

Leider bin ich gar nicht so weit gekommen, das Essen zu loben, wie es in anderen Bewertungen geschrieben wird. Ich bin am letzten Samstag dort hin gefahren, weil ich mich über einige Seminare zu denen ich bereits online gelesen hatte weiter informieren wollte.

Wie viele andere Besucher auch verschaffte ich mir über die Klingel zum Empfang Zugang zum Gelände, wo ich samt Begleitung nach ca 10m von einem BMW-Fahrer unfreundlich darauf hingewiesen wurde das Gelände sofort zu verlassen, wenn ich keine Exerzitien gebucht hätte.

Etwas schockiert über die unherzliche Art und die Tatsache, dass man bei einem Alter weit unter 70 (so wie die Scharen anderer Exerzitienteilnehmer, die sich auf dem Gelände einfanden) offensichtlich nicht willkommen ist, haben wir sprachlos das Gelände verlassen.

Fazit: Christliche Werte sind mir dort nicht wiederfahren. Willkommen ist man nur als bereits zahlender Gast. Begegnung mit Gott werde ich dort sicherlich nicht suchen. Hierfür gibt es deutlich charmantere Orte mit weniger...

Ich kann den Hype um diesen Tagungsort ehrlich gesagt nicht verstehen. Ich war im Haus 3 untergebracht. Die Heizung ging nicht richtig. Echt toll, bei Frosttemperaturen. Die Dusche habe ich nicht benutzt, da es sich um eine Eckdusche für magersüchtige Zwerge handelte. Zumindest kam ich dort mit 1,88m Größe und 105kg nicht rein. Das Bett war sehr schlicht, die gesamte Einrichtung erinnerte eher an die 70er Jahre. Hier sollte DRINGEND renoviert werden. Die Speisesäle sind eine Zumutung. Wenn ich esse, will ich nicht Bilder und Bibelstellen aus der Passion an den Wänden sehen müssen. Das ist wohl der unpassende Ort. Das Essen war okay, aber auch nichts besonderes.
