Ostpark — Attraction in Munich

A quiet huge park on the east side of Munich with a lake and a little hill with a nice view. Always good for a stroll especially for families with children and older people but also good for jogging on paved ways.

A huge beergarden and a good restaurant at the lake is there too. It's easy to park your car on a big public car park for free. You can reach Ostpark by U-Bahn too.

Not that amazing like English Garden or Hirschgarten but a good choice for relaxing without a big hustle.

Better avoid the nearby public Michaelibad at school holidays or weekends coz of free entrance for all under 18 years either you really like it crowded and you run...

Ostpark is beautiful and quite large. It doesn't matter what the weather is like, the place is lovely. The fountains, the ponds, the play area, the expanse of it... everything about it is great!

If you go there for walking or running, you would really appreciate the size and beauty of the park. You could keep going and discovering new places and not be bored. The running track has it's inclines and declines, so you can get a really good run/walk.

There's a lot for kids to do, too. There's an enjoyable play area with something for kids of every age. The place is generally crowded on weekends but not so much...

Großer Stadtpark im Osten der Stadt. Wunderschöne und gepflegte Gärten zu jeder Jahreszeit. Tolle Farbenexplosion im Frühling und Sommer. Verschiedene Gesundheitsrouten, um sich fit zu halten und sogar spazieren zu gehen. Herrliche Seen und Brücken in verschiedenen Bereichen des Parks. Zwei große Spielplätze für Kinder mit verschiedenen Spielmöglichkeiten. Auch für Erwachsene gibt es Spielbereiche mit Skatebahn, Kleinfeldfußballplätzen und Freispielfeldern. Es gibt einen Picknickplatz und einen Grill. Zwei weitere große Biergärten mit einer großen Auswahl an typisch deutschen und bayerischen Gerichten. Ausreichend kostenlose Parkplätze.

Large city park to the east of the city. Beautiful and well-kept gardens in every season. Great explosion of colors in spring and summer. Various health trails to keep fit and also to walk. Beautiful lakes and bridges in different areas of the park. Two large spielplatz for children with different play opportunities. There are also play areas for adults, with skatebahn, soccer fields and free play. There is a picnic area and grill. Two more large Bier garten with a wide variety of choice of typical German and Bavarian dishes. Ample free parking.
