Weird delivery. Didn't love it.
It was essentially a bunch of posters laid out between small rooms with pictures and descriptions in German. Each guest is given with an audio guide (that has a bunch of languages - around 6 or 8 options) and you have to type in the poster number to hear the relevant audio.
I felt a bit like a sheep being herded between rooms where a bunch of silent people where awkwardly standing around (lack of chairs) not knowing which way to look. I found it quite annoying to have to constantly type in the audio track numbers. I'd prefer the tracks to auto play and have more functions on the audio like skip, rewind/forward 10 seconds. I guess it feels more interactive if you have to type in the numbers?
As someone who doesn't know a whole lot about Hitler, I expected the museum to play out more like a story. It didn't. I felt that it was jumping around all over the place and went into a lot of detail about things I didn't care much about, like where the bricks for the Rally building came from.
I was quite disappointed and bored, and stopped listening to the audio about halfway through. I walked around and found some audio I was interested in (holocaust, euthanasia) and then essentially just walked out.
There is a nice balcony overlooking the Rally building area right at the end of the tour. That was the highlight.
Overall I would have preferred to watch a documentary on youtube about Hitler than attend this museum. But my opinion is probably mostly based on the fact that I don't know much about Hitler.

Read moreTemporary exhibition whilst work is being done. So much information 🤯 it's hard to take it all in. Although the guides informed us that the we started at the back of the room & came back towards the entrance/ exit ( original entrance would have been at the opposite end of this room) it was easy enough to see where it started, 'Start' signs helped! There was a good video to begin, but there seemed to be no obvious order to the rest of the exhibit. Some people went clockwise whilst others didn't & it wasn't always apparent where to go next. Maybe it didn't really matter, but as many of these events had specific dates, it may have made some sense to guide people around chronologically...so much information it's hard enough to take it all in but you're then trying to remember what you might have read previously although it happened later 🤔 Shame that more of the Congress Hall couldn't be seen. I hope some day we'll be able to come back & see the results of the...
Read moreIf you really love history and are fluent in German- Go there, If not.. think twice or even three times about going
It is interesting, but I've seen better museums that display stuff better and made it more interesting, like in D.C, United States Holocaust Memorial Museum, that was like a 5 stars for me
They provide you the audioguide.. but it pretty much translate whats written on the board for you = a waste of time if you are a fast reader.
So i totally lost interest there (its actually was a 1 star for me)
FYI, entrance fee is €6 for adult and €1.5 for student .: bring your student card if you are one
Good free toilet
Parking is available at the property with the charge of €4 * (i think thats a bit too pricey) Alternatively, you can park at the area around for less cost i supposed
Well, I am just not the biggest fan of history and it was just way too slow and overwhelming for me.
Unless you have a lot of spare time to kill, go...
