The Nuremberg Trials & NS Parade Grounds
Like on every visit to the old country, we make sure we visit also the areas, places that remind us of the WWII atrocities, places of interest!
First we went to the Nuremberg Courts where the Nazi leadership was sentenced after their defeat in World War II. A sobering experience, lest we never forget! But looking around our world today, I ask my self, (and am sure many others do the same) has humanity actually learned? I wonder & ponder!
The 2. Place of interest was the famous Rallying Grounds (at the Zeppelin fields) where AH made his famous speeches to the tens of thousands followers of his NS regime!
Standing on the same spot were so many rousing & inflammatory speeches were made, one looks back and spends time thinking of the what if, he had actually succeeded?
Sobering moments that are times when reflection is of importance, and the hope that such times will never repeat!

Hundreds of meters of concrete bollards, fences, new ones that are reminiscent of camps and affect people with disabilities. I would really design the area differently. The chestnuts should be removed to restore the Nazis' line of sight, someone explained to us. Really? After all, they were specifically planted by Americans to disrupt...
