This year we came to Sudelfeld for Skiing again! But this time I was very disappointed and frustrated! We bought this time points card (Punktekarten). We came near to the checking gate of Bahn M, we checked our card (the reading sensor was reading our card), but we didn’t push the bar immediately, because there are many people just went through the gate and there is no space to go, so we were waiting just near the gate. But just after some seconds, the bar can’t be pushed and we can’t go though the gate! So we lost immediately 2 points by just standing outside the checking gate! We went to service people in cash point and explained what happened. He explained to us, it was our fault that we didn’t push the bar immediately after the sensor reading our card, but we were waiting for the space to go. He can do nothing to return our points back! Furthermore, I can’t understood this system, if the bar didn’t rotate, it means that no people went through the gate, why the bar is blocked after some seconds? Does it make sense that the bar can be blocked after rotating? So my tip to you, who will go there and want to use points: please go through the checking gate immediately after reading your card! Otherwise the gate will be blocked after some seconds and your points were used for nothing. Hope my bad experience can help you for saving...
Read moreMy 5 years old son joined the ski course nearby today. He got a halfday ticket yesterday. Today I bought him a full day ticket as I wanted to ski with him after the course. After already several times of trying, when we were again to take the Bügellift as shown in the photo at around 3:00pm, he tried many times but the light was always rot that time.
The liftkeeeper seems suddenly angry and shouted to us that we should go back to get a valid ticket. He did not allow him and me to enter the lift. He said that my son was using an expire ticket.
It was very difficult and embarrassing for us as we were kind of strucked by the entrance. There were such a long quere behind and everyone were wearing skis so it was very difficult for us to move backward and leave the ski entrance.
Indeed he has a full day ticket as show in the photo. He is so small so he just mixed the card from yesterday and use these two together so sometimes he could get in sometimes he cannot.
I didn't notice this also, as we were adults and this would not happen to us.
However, the experience was very bad to him and to me. We have seen many kids were unable to pass the ski entrance and were always helped by the liftkeeeper or other parents nearby.
We didn't see the same friendly attitude happened...
Read moreThe good - this is a good place for beginners, the small blue slopes are great for practice and many families come here. There is a bus from bayrisch Zell that takes you here. There's also parking that is free if you buy a ski pass.
The not so good - I fell from the t-bar lift and it could have gone really bad because the staff wasn't paying attention. As I fell, the t bar got stuck on my shoulder, I tried but didn't manage to release myself. The operator who should be paying attention and stop the lift when someone falls didn't stop the lift and the bar dragged me against the concrete foot of the pillars which is not covered with mats. Luckily, I have only a few bruises on my arm but this could have gone much worse.
I did talk to the operator and told him what had happened and that he should pay attention - he continued working with his back turned to the slopes not looking at all if people fell!
Please make sure that your staff is doing their job properly for the safety of us all! And by the way please, cover the concrete base of the lift pillars as well, before someone gets...
