Spitzingsee — Attraction in Schliersee

First we had a walk in the south of the lake and went around a mountain (about 1 or two hours). Our kids enjoyed walking around. We crossed a playground next to the Albert-Link Hütte. Great place for having a „Brotzeit“. Later we walked around the lake (1 1/2 hour). Our kids were tired afterwards but happy because at the north-east side before the campingsite the older one could have a bath in the lake. Disadvantage: the ground consists of stones and soon it’s getting deeper next to the shore. Tip: don’t stay at the tourist place. Search you own place and enjoy the walk or swim....

During winter this lake is completely frozen and is an amazing place to jump in the knee deep snow. And during summer you can take a walk around the lake. It’s around 1 hours some mins drive from Munich. There is ample parking available. Many hiking ways available in the summer months. For winter I highly recommend proper hiking shoes if you are...

Beautiful Bavarian mountain lake. Not easy to get parking space up there in nice summer days. And can be crowded then. But it’s super nice to have a walk around the lake - or get on it when it’s frozen in winter. There are also some nice restaurants and cafes around to enjoy...
