How to spend 72 hours in Stuttgart 🇩🇪 My jam packed 3 day break in Germany has come to a close in collaboration with @Stuttgarttourismus & @stuttgart.uefaeuro2024. I loved delving into the city’s past & learning what’s to come. It’s a hugely accessible city, all easily navigated on foot & by public transport. Below are my highlights from my time here: 📍Sepulchral chapel Württemberg | 30 minutes outside the centre, situated in the heart valley & local vineyards. 📍Stuttgart “Fernsehturm” TV Tower | World’s first concrete telecoms tower built in 1954 set the prototype for many others around the globe. 📍Stuttgart Arena | Home of the VfB Stuttgart and soon the 2024 UEFA EURO™! 📍Mercedes Benz & Porsche Museum | Only city to host 2 automotive museums. The buildings are impressive as much as the many 200+ cars within. 📍City Centre: Stuttgart Library, Markethalle Shopping & Schlossplatz Ferris wheel | Using a 3 day metro card, you can pop around the city with ease visiting these three essential central spots. In ther hill top in memory of his wife this was built. Catherine's and heart husbands tomb are here side by side. Thre view of Stuttgart city its so beautiful. The dome in the top centre, glass opening in the middle and marching marble stones arrangement below with an iron circle artistic one for ventilation to ground below and that iron circles view from below with blue and white light combo as background mesmerizes and takes you to the king's time.

Nice vista point and sacred place . Worth a visit and you can stay half a hour or all day ,its your choice . Best time to visit are September till November . One more tipp ,in a village you can buy and taste great vines for a normal or cheaper price . It can be also romantic walk through vineyards ...but avoid weekend days if you can ,can be crowded. Also nice spot for a amateur photography . Thats all and have a nice daytrip ;)

This place is a monument to love. I love the back story, and how King Wilhem had the palace razed to build this mausoleum where Katherina was buried and he ended up joining her. The ceiling work is exquisite. Make sure to stand in the exact centre downstairs by their tombs - the slightest whisper returns the most amazing echos. Really spiritual experience. One wonders at the architectural marvel required to achieve the precision.

Mit den Öffis einfach zu erreichen: S-Bahn bis Untertürkheim und dann Bus 61 bis Endstelle Rotenberg. Der Bus fährt am Wochenende jetzt nicht so furchtbar oft, daher besser Abfahrtszeiten merken ... ansonsten kann man auf dem Rotenberger Friedhof wunderbar warten. Hab ich gezwungenermaßen getestet weil die Grabkapelle erst um Zehne aufmacht. Die Eintrittskarte bekommt man unten im Priesterhaus, dort gibt es auch ein Häusl. Nach kurzem Aufstieg mit herrlichem Blick auf die umliegende Gegend erreicht man die Kapelle. Sehr hübsch, sowohl außen und auch innen, interessant fand ich die Zeichnungen der Burg, die früher hier oben stand, die Stammburg der Württemberger. Fast hätte ich die Gruft verpaßt, erst als ich mir dachte, was ist denn das für ein Gitter am Boden, da ist doch noch was da unten??? hab ich die Treppen an der Seite entdeckt und bin hinabgestiegen. Ach, wie schön kühl war es da unten, ich wollte garnicht mehr rauf. Es gibt auch einiges zu sehen, nicht nur die Gräber sondern auch Büsten von Wilhelm und Katharina, und einiges an Info, auch über den Herrn Papa. Der Ort Rotenburg ist ebenfalls sehr malerisch, und außenrum gibt es herrliche Wanderwege. War jetzt bei der Hitze nicht angesagt, aber ich werde bei etwas gemäßigterem Wetter ganz sicher nochmal wiederkommen!

Best place to see Sunset and cityscape from top. There are lots of sitting places surrounding the area. You will also find a coffee shop close to top. The area is open to the public. Only the chapel has an entrance ticket. Good spot to have a drink or some snacks or food with friends and family. You can bring your own food and drinks. You can also enjoy the night lights of the city of Stuttgart.
