Very nice park, lots of animals, nice playground, everything taken well care of. 1€ fee which you donate in a box. Only cash!!
It's a bit stretched out so a strawler is recommended for younger kids . There are toilets (cash payment!) at the entrance close to the main road. Closer to the forest there's another entrance and restaurant which is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays (when we were there).
We didn't see many animals because they were hiding (lynx, vox, racoon, boar). The bird cages could be bigger.
We walked from Wenigerode Castle (20 minutes) nice walk through the woods, following paved way.

If you take the path, make sure you ware good cushioned shoe as much of the path although flat, has hard edged rocks underfoot. When you arrive, it’s stunningly beautiful. Clean, manicured grounds The fee is 2€ and it’s on an honor system. The park is easily accessible from the city as well with no hike. Strongly...

No chance to fly, no cubbyholes to hide in. Magpies, which are all over Germany, in cages?!
We were heartbroken at these conditions. Sickening. Do not...
