A brilliant experience for the whole family. Best for families with children aged between 5 and 10 but there is something that everyone can enjoy.
We started out in the main Restaurant Hub building. Our Children (8 & 10) immediately became engrossed in all the playmobil toys freely available to play with in neat themed areas. Mum and Dad and Grandparents enjoyed some coffee (actually delicious and reasonably priced!) while the kids spent 30mins playing.
From here on we adventured around all the areas of the park. It’s worth noting that this isn’t a theme park in the rollercoaster / extreme rides kind of way. Think of it as more as an adventure playground but with everything you could possibly imagine or hope for in that!
The play zones are plentiful and excellent. The kids are safe but not controlled by rules or over zealous staff. The whole place feels freeing, and refreshingly uncommercial - baring in mind of course playmobil do want to sell their toys to your kids. But this isn’t Disney levels of unbridled capitalism. More old fashioned.
Each play area is themed around a playmobil range - it is basically all playmobil toys but blown up to full size. We particularly loved the pirate ship area with rafts, the police station with the go karts and the gold mine, where you pan for gold in the sand. Excellent - and all included in the price.
All the food is good quality and very reasonably priced. Again, not obscenely over inflated (see again… Disneyland 😭)
The only slight let down was the mini golf which we paid extra for. The course was a bit uncared for and the design a bit frustrating in places. Some holes a bit boring and some a bit too hard. It just felt like it could have been a lot better. Where were the playmobil themed bits? And the stream that is meant to run down throughout the whole course wasn’t working - and didn’t look like it had worked for a long time.
Overall just a brilliant experience for our family. Highly...
Read morePlaymobil FunPark stands as an absolute zenith among interactive children's theme parks. Witnessing the joy and excitement on my two-year-old daughter's face as she embarked on a six-hour exploration of the park, I realized we had stumbled upon something extraordinary.
The park astounds with a plethora of themed areas, each captivating the imagination and encouraging a sense of adventure in the children. For my daughter, the highlights were undoubtedly the pirate ship, the majestic castle, and the invigorating fountain and water area.
Every nook and cranny of the park is masterfully crafted with an eye for fostering free exploration, creative play, and the sheer delight of childhood. Here are just a few of the adventures my two-year-old embarked upon; she reveled in countless slides, investigated the intricate details of a pirate ship, guided a raft, traversed a rope bridge over a lagoon, splashed around in an expansive water area, climbed every side of an enchanting castle, and creatively played with legos and a dollhouse while we adults had a leisurely meal.
That's not all, the park also houses a detailed replica of a helicopter playscape, multiple sandy areas perfect for building and digging, and even a friendly ogre statue ripe for a hug. The list goes on, offering endless enjoyment for children of all ages - and let's not forget, it also provides ample entertainment for us parents!
We incorporated a visit to Playmobil FunPark into our Munich trip and it undoubtedly was a decision we'll forever cherish. Were there a park like this back home in the States, I'd foresee it becoming a beloved family tradition. If you have young kids and are considering a visit, let me assure you, this park will not just meet, but vastly exceed your expectations. An unforgettable adventure, it was unquestionably a highlight...
Read moreWe have been visiting Playmobil funpark for the last 5 years, at least 10 times in total. We have been always staying in Playmobil hotel. We were great fans of the place, recommending it to many friends. Unfortunately, it seems to me that the place is going down. It is still great for the “first time visitors”, but for the people visiting for some time, we can see the changes. The quarry that was right next to the entrance has disappeared, although it was very popular. The same for the indoor play area next to the shop. They closed down and are enlarging already huge shop. The toys in the hop centre are broken, a lot is missing, there is much less of everything, not comparable to the past years at all. This has been one of the biggest disappointments. The kids menu in the restaurant used to include a toy and a soft drink cup. In the past, they had “surprise” bags for boys and for girls, now still a toy, but this time only a figures for boys were available and mostly the same. We stayed for 2,5 days this time with 3 kids and obtained 6 same figures, no possibility to get anything different. Moreover, our girls do nor really enjoy knights...there is no surprise any more, as the toys are given in the plain bag, so you can immediately see what is inside. I would rather pay a bit more and get a same service as in the past than this. As for the hotel, still a great place for kids, but the toys for the room...again - missing and broken parts, much smaller sets than it used to be 4/5 years ago. The same in the common room, not as many toys as in the past. I used to view Playmobil as a great place for families and also a great marketing tool for the company, providing a great service for very reasonable money. I can not say the same any more. This has been probably our last visit, with a...
