There is a so-called arts festival here - Chalet Wote. But I saw no art other than some graffiti on a wall. Two minutes into my visit, the camera was wrestled from me by four thugs and a security man who claimed to have organised the event. They demanded GH$250 for the return of the camera and said a license was needed. Note, no mention of any licenses needed for tourists to take photos. Their boss accused me of being an MI6 spy. It took an hour arguing with four different groups all saying they were in charge. Finally, I got my camera back with an apology. They said it had been a misunderstanding. I would recommend steering clear of this place completely. It is organised by people who cannot control the local thugs. Stay away....

There's also a book that you read there which is an archive of the history of the Tambo people. You can also questions and they'll be answered at length. Beautiful murals on the wall and a view of Atlantic & Jamestown area...
