I'd give 5 stars for the sea experience... probably the warmest water on this trip!!! Calm, and very safe. The beach is a stoney beach, so beach shoes is a must. Deck chairs with an umbrella were available but overpriced at £12 per pair. At the time of this visit, better quality sun beds are available at Kyriaki beach very close by at £10Euros per pair. The biggest disappointment was the taverna overlooking the beach. I'd review the food if I could, but we weren't served after well over 40 minutes. Sadly, we weren't even given a menu to look at. I'd like to think that this was just a bad day for the taverna, but it's not a big establishment. It really did just feel like we were invisible; nobody spoke with us, and interaction was minimal. There were at least three other parties that gave up and left before we did for much the same reason.

We've been coming to Kefalonia for many years now, but this was the first and only time in ten years or so where we didn't feel welcome or wanted.

So the experience with the taverna brings the rating down.

There is reasonable space for parking, and there are toilets in the parking area that are clean and well kept.

The road down to the beach from Zola is not for the faint-hearted!! Rather narrow and steep in places.... fortunately for us, we met no cars coming in our direction on arrival or departure.

I'd return for the beach and sea.... very picturesque spot. However, the experience we had with the taverna means that I can't recommend it overall, and will probably stick to other beaches where we are always made to...

Vuoti Beach is a gem waiting to be discovered, offering a peaceful and clean haven that's a true delight. The atmosphere is tranquil, and the beach's size ensures that each lounger is thoughtfully spaced, granting you the space you need to relax and enjoy the stunning surroundings.

The waters are crystal clear, inviting you for a refreshing dip or an underwater exploration session with snorkeling. However, remember to bring along proper footwear to navigate the pebbled shoreline comfortably.

The beach staff is both kind and efficient, making sure you have everything you need. What adds to the authenticity of the experience is the presence of bar personnel ready to deliver your orders directly to your sunbed throughout the day.

For those looking to indulge their taste buds, the beach boasts a well-stocked bar and restaurant, ensuring you won't go hungry. The culinary offerings are a delightful complement to the natural beauty that surrounds you.

While the road leading to Vuoti Beach might be narrow and the last stretch is unpaved, the journey is part of the adventure. This tranquil haven offers fantastic colors, making it an ideal destination for those seeking serene snorkeling spots. Just remember to pack your water shoes for the pebbly terrain.

The beach's offerings include free parking and rental options for an umbrella and two loungers at a reasonable 12 euros. There are showers available for your convenience.

August 22, 2025 The beach looks much better in pictures than in reality.

Access: The road down is very difficult, especially with a larger car.

Facilities: 3 rows of sunbeds & umbrellas for €15, go early if you want to find available ones.

Bees: So many that I’d call it “Bee Beach.” It makes you wanna go away earlier than you planned. The restaurant was assaulted by them, I personally skipped lunch. If you’re scared and/or allergic, definitely avoid this place.

Water quality: The restaurant appears to drain dishwater directly into the sea, which explains the foam — shocking.

Restaurant: Family-run but overpriced, poor quality, long waits, and rude/couldnt care less service. A child was clearing plates, orders taken by his brother after at least 20 minutes, and food takes 30–40 minutes no matter what you order (as my companions experienced)

View: From above, the beach looks beautiful, but that’s the only highlight in my opinion.

There are many much nicer beaches around. Personally, I wouldn’t return. Maybe worth a quick stop in the early morning, but...

Small beach near Zola, not bad but personally not one of my favourites in Kefalonia, I wouldn’t come back. Parking: small parking near the bar. The road to arrive is quite steep and narrow, be careful. 😐 Type of beach: pebble and sand, partly organized. 10€ for the umbrella and 2 sunbeds for the day in the organized area. You also have a free beach space on the right, but there were a lot of wasps near the rocks. 😐 There is a bar/restaurant, a shower and toilets. On the left of the bar you can reach another small and unorganized beach. Shadow: very, very little. No trees. Bring your umbrella. 😢 Water/Snorkeling: the water was not very clean when we went there, on the surface there were algae and foam (?). 😐 But the snorkeling was cool, in particular near to the rocks on the two sides of the beach. Bring your water shoes.
